On July 28, The People's Government of Sichuan Province Information Office helda press conference for the 2022 World Clean Energy Equipment Conference in Deyang. Reporters were informed that the Conference would be held from August 27 to 29th in Deyang, and it would be hosted by The People's Government of Sichuan Province and the Sichuan Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The Conference is the first world-class Clean Energy Equipment Conference across the globe, and is another international platform for China to talk with the world about the green-oriented transition of energy, as well as to deepen international production capacity cooperation.

Themed on "New Energy - New Manufacture - New Era", the 2022 World Clean Energy Equipment Conference sets up a series of activities including the opening ceremony, main forum, policy interpretation, industrial integration, industry-finance integration and sub-forum. The Conference aims to build a networking platform in order to communicate with the world about the green-oriented transition of energy and to deepen international production capacity cooperation. Further attracting and accelerating the convergence of global high-end resource elements, the conference is going to promote the construction of Sichuan as a strong manufacturing province, and contribute to the high-quality development of clean energy equipment industry. The conference will mainly present four characteristics: Inspiring the industry, promoting green-oriented transition of energy; Storing power, encouraging innovation of energy equipment; Gathering wisdom, welcoming important guests; and Attracting Investments, driving the development of the overall industry.

At present, preparations for the Conference are underway. It has been confirmed that 515 domestic and international guests from 21 countries and regions will be attending the Conference, through online and offline means. Presenting guests include former UN Under-Secretary-General Fabrizio Hochschild, Nobel Laureate Dr. Dan Kammen, and other well-known domestic enterprises such as SINOMACH, Dongfang Electric, CNNC, CHDand CTG; hundreds of globalenterprises from a dozen countries and regions including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Panasonic and Cummins, will also be attending and exhibiting at the Conference.

According to the relevantperson in charge, at this day and age, to vigorously developclean energy has become the leading direction and consistent action for theinternational community to deal with climate change and to achieve the global energy revolution. China is determined to promote the construction of a diversified clean-energy supply system. Clean energy equipment has achieved leapfrog development, with industrial scale, technological equipment, and enterprise standardreaching a new level. In terms of industrial scale, China's clean energy equipment supply capacity continues to expand, and the installed capacity of hydropower, wind power, and photovoltaics has ranked first in the world for many years; With respect to technological equipment, China's clean energy equipment significantly improved, withwind power technology oflow wind speed, typhoon resistance, ultra-high towers and ultra-high altitude taking world's lead; with regard to enterprise standard, China's clean energy equipment manufacturing enterprises continue to enhance competitiveness, build a relatively complete industrial chain supply chain system, and give support to the "Belt and Road" key members and other countries and regions in energy transition.

Right now, Sichuan has become one of China's most complete and technologically advanced R&D and manufacturing bases for the clean energy equipment industry system. The Chengdu-Deyang high-end energy equipment industry cluster is successfully selected as one of the 25 national advanced manufacturing clusters. Next, Sichuan will follow the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality"strategyand actively seize the opportunity of the new global energy revolution, and implement the requirements of the construction plan of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. Focusing on the four following aspects: expanding the scale of the industry cluster globally, accelerating the cultivation of world-class enterprises, consolidating and expanding the leading edge of technology, and striving to beat the forefront of smart, green and low-carbon development; Clean energy equipment industry in Sichuan would go global and win the future.
