Phalaenopsis is one of the most popular flowers in the world and a “gardening darling”. There are fewer than 80 wild species ofthe family Orchidaceae in the genus Phalaenopsis. They are hidden deep in the inaccessible tropical forests. They grow on the trunks of the forests, and bloom elegant flowers in the dense forest.
In the south of China, there are also six native Phalaenopsis species distributed. Among them, the Phalaenopsis wilsonii is distributed in the mountains and forests of the southwest. Unlike horticultural phalaenopsis, which are often bright red and purple, the pink flowers of Phalaenopsis wilsonii are more delicate and elegant.
Phalaenopsis wilsoniibelongs to epiphytic herbs in the family Orchidaceae, the genus Phalaenopsis. Although its root system is developed, Phalaenopsis wilsoniilooks like a "cute" because its stem is very short, wrapped by a leaf sheath. It is about 1 cm long, and usually has 4-5 leaves.
