A small bird named white-bellied redstart lives in mountain forests and forest-edge bushes at altitudes of 1500-4000 meters in Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province and other places. Although its belly is white, most of its wings and back feathers are blue-black, just like the blue-black ink that people often use. It looks as if it has asimple and elegant suit over its shirt, with a gentle look.
This small “guy” is often alone, hiding in the low branches of shrubs and making occasional "squeaking" callsthat can be heard but not seen. Sometimes it also runs rapidly on the ground to hunt for food, mainly eating beetles, stink bugs, Lepidoptera larvae, and some plant fruits and seeds.
Just as some people like to put their hands behind their backs, when the white-bellied redstarts fly down to an open place, they also often lift their tailsonto their backs and spread out in a fan shape. In this way, it looks like a fan has grown on their back due to the short wings.
