Peng Chao, a Sichuanese boy born in the 1990s, was amputated in both arms at the age of 6, but he never gave up his life. He was admitted to Sichuan University Law School with a score of 603 in the National College Entrance Examination in 2015 and became a graduate student of the Law School of Tongji Law School in March 2021. On February 23rd, there was good news that the tough boy has successfully passed the China’s unified qualification exam for legal Professions.

No hands, but I have feet .

Peng had to practice everything with his feet instead of hands, such as eating, writing and so on, since he lost his arms due to incaution of touching transformer at the age of 6, which often made his feet cramped up and rubbed out blood blisters.

He had to get up very early at 6 a.m. to finish folding the quilt, washing face, brushing teeth and getting dressed. Even in winter, Peng also wore slippers to school in order to write with feet, which caused his feet heavily cracked.

Peng was admitted to Sichuan University Law School with a score of 603 in the National College Entrance Examination in 2015, which also hit headlines.

    Insist on a harvest

In addition to professional studying, he also participated in many extra-curricular activities, such as the The Chinese Poetry Competition in CCTV1, and nominated as the “The Stars of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students” and “The sixth National Self-improvement Model”.

The road of pursuing dream is not a bed of roses. He failed in his first postgraduate entrance exam due to little preparation. The next year, Peng prepared for both the postgraduate entrance exam and the law exam, but failed to complete the subjective questions in the required time by the factor of little experience in the computer exam.

But he didn't give up. In 2021, he devoted himself to preparing subjective questions for the exam again and practiced hard to improve his typing speed. As a result, he finally passed the examination and became a member of the legal profession.

No pains, no gains. Peng has always been motivated by his lawyer dream."I want to use law to help more people and contribute to the progress of the rule of law in China." he said.
