天府自然历丨魁梧的“偷蜜贼”

大熊猫国家公园唐家河片区最近发生了一起“盗窃案”，“小偷”正是国家二级保护动物——亚洲黑熊。

The Giant Panda National Park in Chengdu reported a theft case recently, and the thief is an Asian black bear, a national second-class protected animal.

光天化日之下，这位身材魁梧的大哥大摇大摆跑到了一户村民家偷吃蜂蜜，酒足饭饱之后并没有急着离开，而是爬到一棵大树上，若无其事地睡起了大觉。

In broad daylight, this big, burly guy strutted into a villager's house to steal honey, and instead of rushing off after he was full, he climbed up a tree and fell asleep soundly as if nothing had happened.

俗话说“一熊二猪三老虎”，亚洲黑熊的战斗力可以用恐怖来形容。为避免发生人熊冲突，保护双方安全，当地工作人员立即组织村民疏散，随后慢慢地诱导这只爬上树的黑熊离开了居民区。

As an old saying goes,”fear most the bear,then pigs and tigers”, Asian black bear can be fierce in a combat. In order to ensure safety and avoid clashes between the bear and people, local staff immediately organized the villagers to evacuate, and then slowly induced the black bear to climb down the tree and leave the residential area.

可能不少人在动物园里，也看到过这位大哥：双脚离地，身高近两米，伸着爪子，向游客讨食物，颇有些憨态可掬。

You may have seen him in the zoo,nearly two metres tall, with feet dangling off the ground, paws stretching out, asking visitors for food in the most charmingly naive way.

亚洲黑熊又称月熊、月亮熊、狗熊，主要分布在欧亚大陆东部，在国际上属于濒危保护动物，是我国国家二级保护动物。

Asian black bears, also known as moon bears and dog bears, are mainly distributed in the eastern Eurasia. They are internationally protected as an endangered animal and are China's national second-class protected animal.

之所以有月亮熊这么浪漫的名字，是因为亚洲黑熊全身都是棕黑色，只有其胸口处有一簇白色的鬃毛，成月牙形，像一弯新月挂在黑色的夜空。

Moon bear is black and brown all over with a tuft of moon-shaped white mane on the chest, like a crescent moon hanging in the black night sky,which gives him this romantic name.

亚洲黑熊是杂食主义者，而且不挑食，昆虫、无脊椎动物、腐尸、鸟蛋、垃圾、蘑菇、水果、坚果、种子、蜂蜜、松子、莓和谷物等都喜欢吃，并会根据季节来调整食谱。

They are omnivores and are not picky eaters, enjoying insects, invertebrates, carrion, bird eggs, rubbish, mushrooms, fruit, nuts, seeds, honey, pine nuts, berries and grains, and their diets vary with the season.

在野外，亚洲黑熊通常是日行性物种，也就是白天出来活动。但在靠近人类的栖息地中，它们转变为夜行性。

In the wild, Asian black bears are usually diurnal species, meaning they mostly come out during the day. However, in habitats close to humans, they shift to nocturnal animals.

亚洲黑熊是最常两足行走的熊，甚至可以两足行走达500米。

It is the kind of bear that most often walks on two feet, and can even walk up to 500 meters.

它们还是爬树能手，大概会花一天一半的时间在树上活动，是体型最大的树栖动物之一。

在寒冷的地区，它们会在树洞、石洞、朽木或岩缝中冬眠，会发出一系列如咕噜、咆哮、呜呜啼等声音来表达受伤、警告或愤怒。

As one of the largest arboreal animals, they are also excellent tree climbers, spending about half of their day up in trees.

In cold regions, they hibernate in tree holes, stone caves, rotten wood or rock crevices, grunting, growling and whining to express injury, warning or anger.

亚洲黑熊，熊科，熊属，一般栖息在落叶林、荒漠、混交林或灌丛林中。体长120-190厘米，成年亚洲黑熊体重50-220公斤，寿命25岁左右，繁殖季大约在6月到8月开始，怀孕期为200-240天。通常在洞穴或树洞中产崽，一胎可产1-4崽。

The Asian black bear, family Ursidae, is a genus of bear that generally inhabits in deciduous forests, deserts, mixed forests or shrubs. Measuring 120-190cm in length, the adult bear weighs 50-220kg and lives to be around 25 years old. The breeding season begins around June to August and the pregnancy lasts for 200-240 days. They usually give birth in burrows and caves and can bear 1-4 cubs in a single litter.

亚洲黑熊浑身黑色毛发，吻部淡褐色，并在胸前有一个白色弯月或V型斑纹。亚洲黑熊的耳朵形态独特，并比其他熊要竖而且大。灵活的四肢和弯爪有利于其攀爬树木，是最常两足行走的熊，甚至可以两足行走达500米。

They have black hair, a hazel snout, and a white crescent or V-shaped patch on their chest. They have distinctive ears that are more upright and larger than other bears. Its flexible limbs and curved claws help it to climb trees and it is the most common bipedal bear that can even walk up to 500 metres on two feet.
