Beams of light from the main torch tower of the Chengdu 2021 FISU Games light up the night sky at the Donganhu Sports Park in Chengdu, Capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, Nov. 22, 2018. This is the first time that the torch tower of the Chengdu 2021 FISU Games has been tested.The torch tower is located in the south of Donganhu Sports Park. The design unit is the Fifth Institute of Southwest China Architecture Design and Research Institute. According to the design unit, the torch tower is 31 meters high, meaning the 31st Summer Universiade.The shape of the torch tower is composed of 12 spiral space curves, symbolizing 12 rays of the sun. The spiral rises and gathers at the top, holding the ignition device symbolizing the ancient fire utensil "Yang Sui".
