On the afternoon of May 9th, the forum on "Local Culture and the Internationalization of the Fashion Industry" was held at the West China Couture Fashion Center in Chengdu.
该论坛由中国西部高级定制中心、成都蓉北商圈发展服务局、金牛区侨联、金牛区荷花池街道办事处主办,荷美汇数字科技(成都)有限公司承办,邀请归侨知名时尚行业专家、中国知名设计师、时尚行业新侨代表等齐聚一堂,共话本土文化与国际审美、时尚潮流如何接轨,以国际化视角解读文化内涵,结合四川本土文化及当下流行元素,探讨具有强文化属性的产品及文化IP的市场经济价值及国际化传播。
The forum was organized by the West China Couture Fashion Center, Chengdu Rongbei Business District Development Service Bureau, Jinniu District Overseas Chinese Federation, and Hehuachi Street Office of Jinniu District. It was hosted by He Mei Hui Digital Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. The forum invited renowned returnee experts in the fashion industry, famous Chinese designers, representatives of the new generation of overseas Chinese in the fashion industry, and others to discuss how local culture and international aesthetics and fashion trends can be integrated. Through an international perspective, the forum interprets the cultural connotations, combines Sichuan's local culture and current popular elements, and discusses the market economic value and international communication of products and cultural IPs with strong cultural attributes.
论坛以一场精彩生动的主题演讲开启。国务院发展研究中心国际技术经济研究所、世界发展研究所研究员、原秘书长,中国国际公共关系协会顾问、原常务副会长兼秘书长郑砚农带来以《数字化思维与模式创新》为主题的演讲和观点解读。
The forum kicked off with a riveting keynote speech. Zheng Yannong, a researcher from the Institute of International Technology Economy of the Development Research Center of the State Council, the World Development Institute, former Secretary-General, adviser of the China International Public Relations Association, and former Executive Vice President and Secretary-General, gave a lecture and interpretation of his views on "Digital Thinking and Model Innovation".
在随后的分享环节,国际策展人、美国哥伦比亚大学比较艺术学博士、中国西部高级定制周执行主席郑迈克、四川师范大学服装与设计艺术学院院长钟玮,中国西部高级定制中心负责人王小灿等嘉宾分别就文化与高级时尚产业发展的意义与价值、“在地文化”何以成为时尚产业国际化的重要趋势、四川(西部)在地文化对标世界时尚之都的机遇和优势等话题展开精彩的观点分享与思想碰撞。
In the subsequent sharing session, international curator, Doctor of Comparative Arts from Columbia University, Zheng Mike, Executive Chairman of West China Couture Week, Zhong Wei, Dean of the School of Clothing and Design Art, Sichuan Normal University, and Wang Xiaocan, the person in charge of the West China Couture Fashion Center, shared their insightful views and thoughts on topics such as the significance and value of culture and high-end fashion industry development, how "local culture" has become an important trend in the internationalization of the fashion industry, and Sichuan (Western) local culture has carried out wonderful views sharing and collision of ideas on topics such as the opportunities and advantages of benchmarking the world's fashion capital.
活动现场,郑迈克带来以“Neo-regionalism(新地域主义),释放城市时尚新魅力”为主题的“中法时尚文化创新中心”项目演讲,围绕新地域主义美学理念,以国际化视角解读在地文化内涵,提升在地文化再生活力。
At the event, international curator, Doctor of Comparative Art from Columbia University in the United States, and Executive Chairman of the West China Couture Week, Mike Zheng, delivered a speech on the project "Sino-French Fashion Culture Innovation Center" themed "Neo-Regionalism: Unleashing New Urban Fashion Charm". Grounded in the aesthetic concept of neo-regionalism, he interpreted the intrinsic meaning of local culture from an international perspective to invigorated the vitality of local culture.
本次论坛旨在提炼展示中华文明的精神标识和文化精髓,加快国际传播能力建设,全面提升国际传播效能,深化文明交流互鉴,推动本土传统美学更好走向世界。院校教师、媒体记者、学生、新侨企业、设计师人才群体等共计约60人参加此次活动。
This forum aims at distilling and showcasing the spiritual symbols and cultural essence of Chinese civilization, to accelerate the capacity building for international communication, to enhance the overall efficiency of international propagation, to deepen the mutual appreciation of diverse cultures, and to promote the global outreach of indigenous traditional aesthetics. The event was attended by approximately 60 participants, including faculty, media reporters, students, new immigrant enterprises, and a talent pool of designers.
