Nanhe National Wetland Park: the first national wetland park in Sichuan
 

In Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, there lies a beautiful river called Nanhe River. Nanhe National Wetland Park, located in Lizhou District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, is the convergence spot of Nanhe River and Wanyuanhe River. It was listed as a national park in October, 2013, as the first national wetland park in Sichuan.

With a total coverage of 111 hectares and 61 percent water, it's the largest open city wetland park. The park integrated original ecological protection to cultural landscapes, displaying the harmonious coexistence of mountains, water, city, and forests. It has become an important part of Nanshan Forest Park and a landmark project in Guangyuan.
