Qionghai National Wetland Park: the "mother river" for Xichang
 

Located in Xichang City, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Qionghai National Wetland Park has been honored as "the wetland in spring". It's warm in winter and cool in summer, and has been a perfect summer resort and cold-avoiding place.

Qionghai is a natural snail-shaped plateau freshwater lake. It's surrounded by mountains to its east, south, and west, and is connected to Xichang City to its north. It was formed by the geological conformation movement about 1,800,000 years ago. It has been honored as "the pearl on a plateau".

What's more, Qionghai is a natural fishery. There’re over 40 kinds of fishes in the lake.
