Cuiyunlang: The Gallery of Cypresses

    Locatedin Zhaohua District, Jiange County of Guangyuan City, and Zitong County of Mianyang City, Cuiyunlang is a part of the ancient Shu road as well as a provincial wildlife natural reserve aiming at protecting the cypresses and its environment. Ten thousands of cypresses have formed a green gallery along the over the ancient courier road of over 300 miles.

    According to the historical materials and evidences, these cypresses were planted in Qin Dynasty. Over the thousands of years, only 9233 ancient cypresses have survived the natural disasters and human activities.

    Cuiyunlang owns rich touristic, natural and biological resources. The ancient cypresses are regarded as the "forest fossils" by the scientists, "national treasures" and "soul of Shu road" by the archaeologists, and "green great wall" by the poets and artists.
