Baiyunzhai: A Cradle of Cypress
 

Located in the southern Peng'an County and belonging to Huaying Mountains, Sichuan Province, Baiyunzhai is the biggest forest zone with 7,575 mu of forest coverage in Nanchong City. There're various arbors and bushes like masson pines, wbite jequitibas, vitex negundos, coriaria sinicas, privets, etc. as well as the precious and rare plants like camphorwoods, sanders, jumble beads, dawn redwoods, gingkos, etc.

Baiyunzhai owns a plenty of cypresses and was listed as one of the two national improved cypress variety bases in 2009. The workers at the forest farm have collected over 1,000 kilograms of improved varieties which can product the trees of 25.8 mu over the past decade. The improved cypress varieties produced by Baiyunzhai forest farm in the past decade amount to over 200 times of the forest here.
