Laba River: A River Like A Horn

 

Laba River Scenic Area is located in Tianquan County, Ya'an City, and is part of Erlang Mountain National Forest Park. The river is geologically ancient, with unusual landforms, which is quite original. There are mountains, beautiful peaks, waterfalls and springs, and the scenic area lies in a "Y" shape according to the river trend, just like a big horn.

The two unique scenery spots Deer Pond and Jiao Mountain here are worth a visit. Deer Pond lies halfway up the mountain at an altitude of 2,400 meters and is a mountain lake of about 7,000 square meters, named after the wild deer that often drink here. With its water as green and clear as an emerald set in the mountains, tree trunks and branches here are reflected in the pool, bringing an ancient and mysterious feeling. Jiao Mountain is the most important peak of Laba River Nature Reserve, with an altitude of more than 3,700 meters, and brings infinite shock to visitors with its magnificent sunrise and sea of clouds. All of those have sufficiently expressed the inclusiveness of the river.
