Heilongtan National Wetland Park: The Greatest Lake in Southwest Sichuan
 

Located in Renshou County, Meishan City, Heilongtan National Wetland Park is one of the first provincial scenic spots and a 4A tourist attraction. The Heilongtan reservoir is the first large-scaled irrigation project in Sichuan since 1949 and has been honored as "the greatest lake in Southwest Sichuan".

Covering an area of 23.6 square kilometers, holding 72 islands and with 0.36 billion of water storage, the lake is wide and meandering, owning Penglai Island, Baoen Temple, Bihu Cliff, Wuli Bridge and other scenic spots.

The water in the lake is mainly for irrigation and drinking. With a big forest coverage, the air here is fresh. Each island is a paradise for animals and plants.
