Sichuan Anzihe Nature Reserve: The "Love Corridor" for Pandas
 

Sichuan Anzihe Nature Reserve is one of the nature reserves mainly aiming at protecting giant pandas. Together with Wolong National Nature Reserve and Sichuan Fengtongzhai National Nature Reserve, it has formed the giant pandas’ core habitat in Qionglai Mountains. Located on the conjunction and channel of the habitat, it plays an important role in giant pandas’ gene communication and breeding in Qionglai Mountains, and has been honored as a “love corridor for pandas”.

April and May are the time of giant pandas’ courtship and breeding. At that time, the adult giant pandas would travel through Sichuan Anzihe Nature Reserve which lies between Wolong National Nature Reserve and Sichuan Fengtongzhai National Nature Reserve to seek their mates.
