Daocheng Yading Nature Reserve: The Beautiful Landscape on A Highland
 

Daocheng refers to Daocheng county and Yading is Yading village. Daocheng Yading refers to the nature reserve around Daocheng county. In 1928, Joseph Rock, an American explorer discovered Daocheng Yading and published the photos on the magazine "National Geography". People were amazed by the beautiful and pure natural sceneries. Therefore, Daocheng Yading became a symbol of beauty for tourists.

The Milk Lake in Daocheng Yading is blue-green. In the early spring, the melt water flushes through limestones, bringing milk-like white water around the lake. That's the reason why it's called Milk Lake. It's like a crystal jade among the snow mountains, mysterious and pure.
