Baiyu Lalongcuo National Wetland Park: The Natural Geological Museum

    In Nata village which lies 170 kilometers away from Baiyu County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, there's a lake shaped like a square mirror inlaid on the valley bottom. The locals call it Lalongcuo.

    BaiyuLalongcuo National Wetland Park covers 29898.04 hectares and lies at the altitude of 4100 to 5147 meters, with the fall head of 1047 meters. It's the biggest, highest national wetland park with the greatest fall head in Sichuan, holding glaciers, terrestrial heat and other special resources.

    The park owns diversified wetlands, including perpetual riverine wetland, flooding wetland, perpetual freshwater lake wetland, seasonal freshwater lake wetland, herbal wetland, bush wetland and terrestrial heat wetland, covering almost all the wetland types in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
