Magnolia Liliiflora: An Important Agricultural Heritage
 

There have been 138 important agricultural cultural heritages in China, and 8 are in Sichuan. One of them is the traditional cultivation of Jiangyou magnolia liliiflora.

The Wujiahou mountain, Dakang town, Jiangyou city, Mianyang, is the protection area covering over 25 square kilometers. The plantation of the magnolia liliiflora covers nearly 20000 mu with 400 years history.

There're over 60000 magnolia liliifloras here, distributing on the mountainside with nearly 800 meters fall head. The oldest magnolia liliiflora is nearly 400 years old, the tallest is over 30 meters high and the longest diameter is 1.4 meters.

The flowers bloom in middle March to early April. The blooming magnolia liliiflora trees are like elegant ladies and the flowers wave along the breeze.
