As the Spring Festival is approaching, the travel season has started. The newly-opened Chengdu-Kunming Railway cuts down the travel time from Chengdu to Kunming from 19 hours to about 7 hours.

Chengdu-Kunming Railway, started to be built in 1958, has been praised by the United Nations as one of the three wonders of man's conquest of nature in the 20th century along with the former Soviet Union's Sputnik-1 and the US's Apollo.

As the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway has been put into operation, people can travel more freely between Chengdu and Kunming, and enjoy the beautiful scenery in Panzhihua-Xichang area.

2022年9月20日起，四川国际传播中心重磅推出《China WOW! 超级中国》系列双语纪录片，邀请来自全球各地的“超级体验官”来到四川实地探访，真实感受可信、可爱、可敬的中国。

"China WOW", a bilingual documentary series presented by Sichuan International Communication Center (SICC) was started on Sept. 20, 2022, taking the "super experiencers" from the world to visit Sichuan and explore the lovely China.

《China WOW! 超级中国》第三期，为了寻找可爱的“妞妞合唱团”，来自美国的超级体验官Faith第一次走进妞妞们的家乡——神秘美丽的大凉山。

In "China WOW" episode three, Faith, from the US,was invited as a "super experiencer" to visit Daliang Mountain to look for “Niu Niu chorus”.

陌生的土地

Faith仿佛来到了自由与热情的秘境

She enjoyed the beautiful scenery and amazing lifestyle of this foreign land. She felt that she was in a fairy land of freedom and passion.

稀里糊涂地

Faith坐上了大凉山特有的慢火车

她惊奇地发现这趟车的乘客有点特别

Faith got on a slow train of Daliang Mountain and found that the passengers were quite different.

这列设有牲畜专座的火车

正是穿行于大凉山彝族地区的5633/5634次列车

全程376公里

时速40km/h

历时9个多小时

沿途停靠26个车站

开通半个世纪以来

2元的最低票价从未改变

This is the train 5633/5634 with special seats for animals in Daliang Mountain. The 376-kilometer train at the speed of 40 km/h passes 26 stations, taking about 9 hours. The ticket is 2 yuan and has never been changed for half a century.

这趟慢慢悠悠的火车

穿过数不清的高山河谷

作为沿线孩子们求学的“校车”

病人们外出看病的“救护车”

当地百姓致富的“脱贫列车”

温柔地将大山中的村落与外界相连

This slow train has been playing the role of school train for kids, ambulance for patients, the poverty-alleviation train for the local people, connecting the villages with the outside world.
