四川省第十四届运动会将于8月8日在乐山市奥林匹克中心主会场开幕。

The 14thSichuan Provincial Sports Meeting is about to open in the Olympic Center of Leshan City on August 8.

据了解，本届省运会设立青少年体育项目和群众体育项目2个大类49个竞赛大项，共将产生1000枚金牌。其中，青少年体育项目共设29个竞赛大项、将产生759枚金牌;群众体育项目共设20个竞赛大项、将产生241枚金牌。

It is reported that there are two categories (teenager sports events, public sports events) and 49 events, which are expected produce 1000 gold medals in this sports meeting. There are 19 teenager events which are expected to produce 759 gold medals, and 20 public events which are expected to produce 241 gold medals.

市外5地(成都、攀枝花、内江、凉山、眉山)将举办13个竞赛项目，其余36个竞赛项目将在乐山市举办，6个区县(市中区、峨眉、犍为、井研、沐川、马边)将承办具体赛事。

13 events will be held in Chengdu, Panzhihua, Neijiang, Liangshan and Meishan. 36 events will be held in the six districts and counties(Shizhong District, Emeishan City, Qianwei County, Jingyan County, Muchuan County, and Mabian County) of Leshan

本次省运会一方面将有助于乐山市积极构建更高水平全民健身公共服务体系，打造城市新名片;另一方面，展现嘉州儿女四川争光、为乐山添彩的崇高情怀，以及拼搏进取、奋勇争先的精神力量，有效助力提升乐山区域中心城市发展能级。

Through this sports meeting, Leshan municipal government will build a fitness public service system of higher level and improve the city’s reputation. By presenting Leshan athletes’ inspiring combatant spirit, it will also boost the city’s development.
