Lama Wind Farm in Huidong County of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture is Sichuan’s earliest built mountain-top wind farm that has been put into operation.

Its annual electricity generation is sufficient to cover over 70,000 average households.

Its power is equivalent to the reduction of 120,900 tons of carbon dioxide annually.

There are 65 existing wind farms like this in Liangshan Prefecture.

7/10 wind turbine generators in the prefecture are “made in Liangshan.”

Wind power development is fast growing across the province.

During the first half of 2021, Sichuan ranks third in China regarding its average wind power utilization hours.

By 2025, Sichuan’s wind power generation capacity will reach 10 million kW, becoming Sichuan’s next trump card of renewable resources.
