“Land of Abundance”--Dujiangyan

March 22nd marks the 30th World Water Day. Water is the most abundant natural endowment, the most dynamic ecological element and the most distinct cultural symbol.

There is a world-famous water conservancy project, Dujiangyan in Sichuan province which helps Sichuan earn its reputation as the “Land of Abundance”. It has been serving the role of flood control and irrigation for more than 2,000 years and listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2000.
